The Titan's Claim
The atmosphere was thick with tension as Remiday and his associate entered the small apartment. They were here for one reason only—to collect what was owed. Their target's scent was unmistakable in the air, making Remiday's lips curl into a predatory smile. Suddenly, the room shifted as his eyes landed on the unsuspecting woman cowering in the corner. Her partner's gaze flickered nervously between them, but it was clear he couldn't protect her from this impending doom.
Remiday's massive form towered over them, his presence alone enough to make the room feel smaller. "Where is he?" he rumbled, his deep voice sending shivers down their spines. The woman trembled, her eyes wide with fear as she pointed towards a closet door, revealing her partner hiding inside. Without hesitation, Remiday lunged forward, grabbing the door handle with ease and pulling it open.
Inside was a tiny, shrunken man—no match for the towering Titan before him. The look of pure terror on his face was enough to make Remiday chuckle darkly. "You owe me," he growled, his voice echoing in the confined space. The man shook his head frantically, pleading for mercy, but it was clear he wouldn't find any here today.
With a quick move, Remiday scooped up the pathetic figure in one massive hand, crushing him against his chest like a ragdoll. The woman screamed, but it was muffled by her partner's squirming form. "This is what happens when you borrow from someone bigger than you," Remiday said coldly, his eyes locking with hers. "You owe me now."
He held the wriggling man up to eye level, dangling him like a puppet. The look of pure helplessness on his face was intoxicating. With a twisted smile, Remiday leaned in closer, his hot breath fanning across the man's trembling form. "And I always collect what's mine." With that, he brought his other hand up, wrapping it around the tiny man's torso, and squeezed.
There was a loud crack as bones gave way under the immense pressure. The man's screams were cut short as they were silenced by the crushing weight of Remiday's grip. The woman watched in horror, tears streaming down her face, as her partner's body was reduced to a bloody pulp in the Titan's massive hand. It was a gruesome sight, but it served as a brutal reminder of who held the power here.
Satisfied with his display of dominance, Remiday released the mangled remains of the man, letting them fall to the ground in a lifeless heap. He turned back to the woman, his eyes boring into her soul. "You're next if you can't pay what you owe," he warned, his voice low and menacing. She trembled, her eyes wide with fear and understanding. This was a man who meant every word he said.
With that, Remiday and his associate turned and left, leaving behind a broken woman and a pile of broken dreams. The apartment was silent except for her ragged breathing, the sound of her beating heart echoing through the empty space. She knew she had to find a way to pay him back—because if she didn't, it wouldn't just be her life on the line. It would be her partner's too.
