The Pretense: Beth Bennett's Trap
The Setup - Beth Bennett
Beth's boyfriend, Alex, had been receiving flirtatious messages from a mysterious woman named Sarah. He decided to set up a meeting between Sarah and Beth when she was supposedly at work. As Sarah nervously approached Beth's apartment, she didn't expect to see the object of her desires sitting on the couch, sipping coffee and looking casual.
"Oh, hi," Sarah stammered, trying to think of an excuse for why she was there. "I was just looking for Alex...I mean, I thought he might need help with something."
Beth smiled warmly, a twinkle in her eye. "Well, that's very kind of you. Please, come in." She gestured for Sarah to sit down. As soon as the door was locked behind them, a sense of unease crept over Sarah. Something about Beth's friendly demeanor seemed...off. She couldn't quite put her finger on it.
"So," Beth began, leaning forward with interest. "Alex told me you've been flirting with him. Is that true?" Sarah felt her cheeks heat up in embarrassment, but nodded sheepishly. "I just thought...I mean, he's so attractive...and charming..." Her voice trailed off as she realized the danger she was in.
"Alex is my boyfriend," Beth said firmly, her tone showing no hint of jealousy or possessiveness. "But that doesn't mean I can't be friends with people who find him appealing. Now, why don't you tell me more about yourself? Perhaps you could change my mind about sharing him with others." A slow, wicked grin spread across Beth's face, revealing a sinister side to her personality that Sarah hadn't expected.
As the conversation continued, Sarah began to realize that she had walked into a trap. Beth was playing a dangerous game, testing her boundaries and pushing Sarah further into her web of deceit. By the end of their meeting, Sarah would wish she had never come to Beth's apartment. She would also learn firsthand what happened to the previous girls who had tried to steal Alex away from Beth - a lesson she would never forget.
