Mesmerized stands frozen in place, his heart thudding in his chest as he watches the towering figure of Madame Marissa bustling around the kitchen. Her focus is laser-like as she moves from counter to cabinet, methodically cleaning every surface with her superhuman strength. Suddenly, Mesmerized realizes he's stepped into her path—and now he's the one under her scrutiny. With a look of disdain, Madame Marissa stoops down and scoops him up in her hand, examining him like a bothersome insect.
"Tsk tsk," she scolds, her voice deep and booming. "Can't you see when you're in the way? You really should know better than to get in my way when I'm working." She pauses, considering her next move. "Well, since you made the mistake of getting in my way, you're coming with me."
Mesmerized watches in horror as Madame Marissa dumps him onto the dustpan with a clatter. She's completely unfazed by his pleas and protests, her attention still solely focused on the task at hand. With a sickening swoosh, she flips the dustpan over, depositing Mesmerized into the trash can. He's completely surrounded by dirty dishes, crumpled napkins, and all manner of other refuse. He tries to climb out, but the trash keeps piling up around him, burying him deeper with each new addition.
As Madame Marissa continues her cleaning spree, Mesmerized feels a sense of despair wash over him. He knows there's no way he can escape this trash can—it's only a matter of time before she seals him in forever. His heart races as he watches her approach, a sense of impending doom weighing down on him like a ton of bricks. With shaking hands, she ties the trash bag shut, cutting off his last tether to the outside world. Mesmerized feels the world spinning around him, his panic reaching a fever pitch. He knows this is it—he's going to be buried alive in the trash, and there's nothing he can do about it.
