Tim's shrinkage had become an unstoppable force, and his giant step-mom, Pam, felt helpless. She tried everything to care for him, from carrying him around in her palm to setting up a miniature bedroom for him in her closet. The Shrunken Pair
Megan, Pam's biological daughter, had also been shrunk down to the size of a bug. Once inseparable, they now inhabited two different worlds—one macro and one micro. As Tim grew smaller, he began to disappear from Megan's sight entirely.

Realizing she couldn't watch over Tim anymore, Pam brought them both to Dr. Adams' lab. The dimly lit room was filled with strange machines and microscopes, each one more intimidating than the last.
