Downsized Small Potential
In the heart of Media Impact Customs, a man finds himself dwarfed by his environment. His boss, the towering Kyla Keys, strides into the room with an icy glare that sends shivers down his spine. She's a woman of power and presence, her commanding stature seeming to radiate from every inch of her body.
He tries to remain calm as she approaches, but it's clear that she's not interested in politeness. "Oh, you are here..." she says, her voice dripping with disdain. It's like she's looking at something less than human. "Fine, come over here," she commands, gesturing towards an empty space on the floor.
There's no chair for him—he's not worthy of one. "No, you are not allowed to sit down," she snaps. "Stay up." It's a struggle to maintain eye contact with her, but he manages to force himself to look up at her. "Your monthly result, mister," she says, her voice dripping with sarcasm.
She doesn't even give him a chance to respond before launching into a tirade about his mediocre performance. He tries to defend himself, but her words cut deep, each one a knife to his already wounded pride. "You are here because of your incompetence," she spits out. "You are trying to sabotage my successful company with your pathetic efforts."
She attacks his physical appearance too, noting how he looks ridiculous in his attire. "You are not properly dressed," she scolds him. "How can you expect to succeed when you can't even dress yourself properly?"
As she speaks, he feels himself shrinking—not just in her eyes, but in reality. The room around them seems to grow larger, dwarfing him further. And then, with a final burst of rage, she steps away from him, leaving him alone on the floor. He's not even a foot tall now, and she towers above him like a colossus.
She watches him for a moment, her expression unreadable. And then, without warning, she stomps her foot down hard on the ground. The impact sends shockwaves through his tiny body, but he manages to hang on. When she lifts her foot again, he's still there—huddled in fear beneath her massive boot.
"Are you done now?" she asks, her voice cold and mocking. "Can't believe how insignificant you are now, not that you were any important before but now you are like an ant facing a god." She stands up, towering over him, and he can't help but cower in fear.
She walks away then, leaving him alone on the floor. He can hear her footsteps echoing around him, the sound of her power reverberating off the walls. And then, after what feels like an eternity, she returns.
This time, she's carrying something—a small object that glints in the light. As she approaches him, he realizes with horror that it's a pair of glasses—a pair of glasses that she plans to use to magnify his world.
She places them on his face, and suddenly the world is bigger than ever before. He can see every pore on her skin, every hair on her body. And she can see him too—every inch of him, every tremor of fear.
"This is the perfect place for you now," she says, her voice dripping with malice. "Begging me not to step on you." She's enjoying this, he realizes. She's enjoying his terror, his helplessness. And she's not going to stop anytime soon.
She walks away then, leaving him alone once more. But this time, she doesn't come back immediately. Instead, she spends some time pacing around the room, toying with him like a cat with a mouse. He can hear her footsteps, feel her presence, but she stays just out of reach.
Finally, after what feels like an eternity, she returns. She's carrying something else now—something small and compact. As she approaches him, he realizes with a sinking heart that it's a phone. And she's going to use it to take pictures of him, to share him with the world.
She holds up the phone, and he can see his reflection in the screen. He's tiny now, no bigger than an ant. And then, with a cruel laugh, she snaps a picture and shares it with the world. The world wide web is about to witness the fall of a tiny man.
She leaves him alone then, but he knows that he can't stay hidden for long. She'll find him eventually, and when she does...well, he doesn't even want to think about it. He's just glad that he managed to survive this long.
But survival isn't enough for Kyla Keys. She wants more than just his obedience—she wants his fear. And so, she comes up with a new game to play with him. A game of cat and mouse, only this time, the mouse is so tiny that it's barely even there.
She sets him down in a small, enclosed space—a box, perhaps, or a cage. And then she leaves him alone, wondering what she's going to do to him next. He can hear her footsteps receding into the distance, and he wonders if she's going to leave him there, alone and terrified, forever.
But then, he hears something else. Footsteps approaching once more, only this time they're slower, more deliberate. And then she's there, looming over him once more. "I have a new post for you," she says, her voice dripping with malice. "But before I show you, there are new rules to follow."
She removes one of her boots, revealing a small, dark space inside. "I hope you'll be a better employee this time around," she says, her voice dripping with sarcasm. And then, with a cruel smile, she drops him inside and closes the boot around him, trapping him in her own personal version of hell.
