In the heart of a bustling city, there stood a tall, imposing skyscraper; its dark glass windows reflecting the neon lights of the streets below. It was here, on one of the highest floors of this architectural marvel, that our story begins. A young man named Jack was sitting at his desk, his attention fixated on his computer screen. He worked long hours as a graphic designer for the company that owned the building, often finding himself lost in his work. Today though, he could shake off the feeling of fatigue that had been dogging him for days. He had finally finished a project that had been giving him sleepless nights and it was due to be presented to his boss tomorrow. With a sense of satisfaction, he saved his files and logged out of his computer. As he stood up to stretch his legs, his eyes were drawn to the large window behind his desk. The view never failed to amaze him; the city sprawled out before him like a patchwork quilt of lights. He leaned against the window sill, taking in the sights and sounds of the city that never slept. His thoughts drifted away as he watched a tiny figure make its way across the street below; it was a woman, her heels clicking against the pavement as she walked purposefully towards the building across the road. He wondered what she could possibly want at this time of night and if she would be able to find her way through the labyrinthine corridors of the office tower. As he watched, she disappeared from view, swallowed up by the darkness of the building. A shiver ran down his spine as he realized he was standing alone in the cold darkness of the office. It was time to head home.
