"Hi Lucy, I'm... um... well, my name's Mark," he said, blushing slightly as he looked back down at the ground.

They sat in silence for a moment, both of them feeling too shy to say anything else. Lucy broke the silence once again, reaching into her backpack and pulling out a small, red lollipop.

"Would you like one of these?" she asked, offering it to him with a sweet smile.

Mark hesitated for a moment before nodding his head shyly. Lucy giggled as she handed him the lollipop, their fingers brushing against each other ever so slightly for just a moment.

They continued to sit there on the park bench, watching the other kids play and getting to know each other better with each passing minute.
