Once upon a time, in the city of Newthorne, there lived a young man named Jack. He was a thief by profession, always looking for ways to make a quick buck through dubious means. He had been successful in his ventures so far, always managing to stay one step ahead of the law. One day, while exploring an abandoned building, he stumbled upon a hidden chamber filled with treasures beyond his wildest dreams. Amongst them was an old journal, its pages yellowed with age and covered in strange symbols. Curiosity getting the better of him, Jack decided to take it with him, intending to sell it in the black market for a hefty sum.

As he made his way back home, clutching the precious journal tightly, Jack couldn't shake off the feeling that he was being watched. He dismissed it as paranoia, chalking it up to his line of work. However, as he turned a corner, he found himself face-to-face with a woman towering over him, her anger palpable. She wore a long, flowing dress that seemed to blend in with the shadows, making her seem almost ethereal. Her eyes were like burning embers, full of fury.

"Hand over the journal," she demanded, her voice low and dangerous.

Jack's heart pounded in his chest, but he refused to back down. "Or what?" he asked, trying to keep his voice steady. "You'll toss me around like a ragdoll?"

The woman's eyes narrowed, and she took a menacing step towards him. Jack could feel his pulse racing as she loomed over him, her giant form casting a long shadow that threatened to swallow him whole. Suddenly, he felt cold steel against his throat, and he knew he had pushed his luck too far.

"I warned you," she whispered, her breath hot against his neck. "Now, give me the journal."

Shaking with fear, Jack reached into his bag and pulled out the journal, holding it out to her hesitantly. The woman snatched it from his hands with a force that sent him stumbling backwards. She turned and disappeared into the shadows, leaving Jack to pick himself up off the ground.

As he made his way home, his mind reeling from the encounter, Jack couldn't help but wonder about the journal. What secrets did it hold? And who was the woman who was willing to threaten him over it? Little did he know, his life was about to change forever.
