The End of Days
As the world crumbled around him, James found himself trapped beneath a collapsing building. The terrifying roar of thunder shook the very foundations of the Earth, followed by a blinding flash of lightning that illuminated the darkness. In the midst of this chaos, he could see figures moving through the dust and debris, their massive forms casting long shadows as they approached.
James instinctively knew what he was seeing; beings of incredible size, towering over him like gods from a forgotten mythos. They were giants, creatures thought to exist only in legends and fairy tales. But as he watched in horror, these colossal beings began to tear down buildings with their bare hands, reducing whole cities to rubble with ease.
As one of the giants drew closer, James could see the details of its monstrous form. Its skin was rough and scaly, like that of a dragon, and its eyes glowed with a fierce red light that seemed to emanate from within. Standing at least a hundred feet tall, the giant loomed over him, making him feel smaller than an ant.
"Help me," James whispered, his voice quivering with fear. But the giant didn't seem to hear him, or perhaps it simply didn't care. Instead, it continued tearing through the ruins of what was once a bustling city, leaving nothing but destruction in its wake.
Desperately trying to escape, James began crawling through the rubble, searching for a way out. But as he moved further into the devastation, he realized that there was no escape. The giants were everywhere, their massive forms blocking out the sky, casting the world into perpetual darkness.
Then, like a bolt of lightning from the clear blue sky, a figure appeared before him. Standing at what seemed like an average height for a human, she was lithe and athletic, her golden hair flowing in the wind. In one hand, she held a sword that glowed with an eerie blue light, and in the other, a shield emblazoned with strange symbols.
"Who are you?" James asked, his voice trembling with fear and awe.
"I am Isis, Goddess of Magic and War," she replied, her voice echoing through the ruined landscape. "I have been watching the world descend into chaos, and I will not stand idle while it is destroyed. Now, come with me if you wish to survive."
Without waiting for a response, Isis grabbed James by the arm and began running, dodging through the debris with an agility that belied her divine status. As they ran, James couldn't help but wonder what kind of world they were running towards. Was there any hope for survival in the face of such overwhelming destruction? Or had the end truly arrived, and all that remained was to live out the last few moments of humanity's existence?
