Jessica staggered out of the house, clutching the small box to her chest as she stumbled down the steps. It had been a long night, and she barely remembered her friend's address. Her mind was full of fog and her body ached from the party last night. She had drunk far too much tequila and had passed out on the couch, waking up this morning feeling like she had been hit by a truck. But she couldn't let that stop her. She had promised to deliver this box, and deliver it she would.

As she walked down the street, the sun was high in the sky, beating down on her exposed skin. She wasn't wearing much; just a tiny black bikini and a pair of flip-flops. Her body was on display for all to see, and she was too hungover to care. She just wanted to get this over with and go back to bed.

Finally, after what felt like an eternity, she arrived at her friend's house. She climbed up the steps and rang the doorbell, trying not to look like she was about to collapse from exhaustion. The door opened, revealing a tall, muscular man with a well-groomed beard. He looked at her with a mixture of amusement and concern.

"Hey, uh, Jess? What are you doing here? You look like you've seen better days." He chuckled softly, leaning against the doorframe.

Jessica forced a smile, trying to hide her pain. "I'm here to drop off this box," she said, holding it out to him. "It's for Lily."

The man took the box from her, hefting it slightly. "Are you sure you're okay? You don't look so good."

"I'm fine," she lied, waving him off. "Just a little hungover. I'll be fine in a bit."

He nodded sympathetically, turning to go inside. "Well, make sure you take it easy. And thanks for bringing this over."

As she watched him disappear inside, she let out a sigh of relief. Finally, she could go home and sleep for the rest of the day. She started to walk away, but then stopped, feeling a sudden pang of guilt. She had promised Lily she would deliver this box, and she had done it. Now she just had to hope that the contents would be enough to make up for her current state.

With one last look at the house, she turned and started to walk back down the street, the warm sun beating down on her back. She didn't know what was in the box, but she hoped it would be enough to make Lily happy. Because despite her current misery, Jessica knew that she would never let her best friend down.
