The office was a buzz with anticipation as the annual competition approached. The employees of the tall and powerful Kali were all eager to show off their hard work and dedication to their leader. Their presentations were flawless, each one showcasing their unique skills and talents. Kali leaned forward in her chair, clearly engaged with the proceedings. As they finished, there was a moment of silence before Kali spoke.
"This has been a very difficult decision," she said, her deep voice booming around the room. "Both of you have put forward exceptional work. However, there can only be one winner."
She turned to the first contender, a nervous-looking man, and nodded. "Your dedication and hard work are truly commendable. Please stay behind after everyone else has left."
Next, she looked at the second contender, a confident woman who had been one of Kali's most loyal employees. "Your creativity and drive are inspiring," she said. "Please also stay behind once everyone else has left."
As the rest of the staff filed out of the room, the two winners lingered nervously. Kali rose from her seat, towering over them both. She looked from one to the other, her expression unreadable.
"I have something special planned for both of you," she said, her voice low and intimate. "But first, there is something else I would like to do."
With that, she stepped closer to the woman, her massive figure blocking out the light. She reached down and lifted the woman effortlessly off the ground, making her giggle nervously.
"Now," she said, turning to the man, "it's your turn."
She lifted him up onto the table, his feet dangling awkwardly in the air. "Now," she said, her voice taking on a commanding tone, "I want to see you two compete for my attention."
And with that, the two contenders found themselves in an entirely new kind of competition.
