He looked down to see that he had shrunk to the size of an action figure, no bigger than a foot tall. He tried to scream but his voice came out as a squeak.
In his panic, he stumbled backward, colliding with something soft and warm. Looking up, he saw that it was a girl his age, her eyes wide with shock and awe as she stared down at him. She was just as small as he was now, a miniature version of herself.
"What happened to us?" she asked, her voice trembling. "We've shrunk!"
Together, they scrambled to their feet, trying to make sense of their new reality. Around them, the other children continued to play, completely oblivious to their plight. They realized that they were the only ones who had changed.
With renewed determination, they set off to explore their new world, hoping to find a way back to their normal size. But as they ventured deeper into the playground, they discovered something even more unsettling - an irreversible transformation had begun.
