A sickening crunch echoes through the chamber as bones shatter and flesh is pulverized under her weight. Goddess Aurora casually flicks the remains off her foot, not even bothering to examine her handiwork. Her attention is drawn to the next tiny figure, who's now even more terrified after witnessing what happened to his companion.
"Don't worry, sweetie," she coos, her voice dripping with honeyed menace. "You'll get your turn soon enough. But first, I think I'll have some fun with you." As she speaks, she reaches down and plucks him from the ground like a ragdoll, holding him up to eye level.
