Story: It was a warm summer afternoon, and Allison sat at home wondering what her best friend Taylor was up to. They'd been inseparable since they were little girls, but lately, Taylor had been acting strangely distant. Allison couldn't help but worry about her. Suddenly, she heard a loud thud coming from outside. She ran to the window and gasped in disbelief. There stood Taylor, completely drenched in sweat, looking pale and frightened. Allison rushed out to meet her friend.
"Taylor, are you okay? What happened?" she asked, concerned. Taylor hesitated before answering, taking a deep breath. "I-I don't know how to say this, Allison. I really need your help." Allison's heart skipped a beat. Something was really wrong with her friend. She led Taylor into the house, getting her some dry clothes and a glass of water. Taylor took a sip, her hands shaking. "Allison, I... I think I'm growing," she whispered, looking down at her body.
Allison stared in disbelief. "What do you mean, Taylor? Are you... are you pregnant?" She couldn't even say the word in her head without feeling a pang of fear in her stomach. Taylor shook her head. "No, Allison. It's not that. I just... I think I'm growing gigantic. And I don't know why." Allison didn't know what to say. This was beyond anything she could have imagined. She took a deep breath and tried to remain calm. "Taylor, we need to figure this out. Is there anything unusual happening to you? Any changes in your body?"
Taylor thought for a moment. "Well, I've been getting these really strange cravings for food. And sometimes, I feel like I'm getting taller and bigger just a little bit every day." Allison's heart sank. If Taylor was right, and she was growing, there was no telling how big she could get. And how would they keep this a secret? They both looked out the window at the growing shadows. The sun was starting to set and it would be dark soon. They had to act fast.
Allison took a deep breath. "Taylor, I need you to trust me. We're going to figure this out together. But we need to do it fast before it gets any worse. Okay?" Taylor nodded, tears welling up in her eyes. "Okay, Allison. Let's do this." They spent the rest of the evening searching the internet for any clues or answers. They tried contacting doctors and specialists, but none of them could help them. They were on their own. It was getting late, and the shadows were growing longer. They knew they couldn't keep this up much longer.
As they crawled into bed, exhausted but determined, they made a pact. They would keep each other's secret and work together to find a solution to Taylor's growing problem. They fell asleep, hoping that tomorrow would bring them closer to an answer. They both woke up in the middle of the night, their bodies aching and restless. They could hear strange noises coming from downstairs. Terrified, they crept out of their room and toward the source of the noise. As they rounded the corner, they froze in horror. Standing in the living room was Taylor, towering over them. She was at least 30 feet tall now, her skin glistening in the moonlight. Her eyes were wide with fear and disbelief.
