Under the Giantess's Feet
The Little One in Silence!
Penelope stepped into the room, each stride shaking the floor beneath her. The walls trembled in response to her colossal presence, as if the house itself were awed by its new owner. Her heavy sneakers pounded against the ground, creating a rhythmic thump...thump...thump that echoed through the space. She stopped abruptly before the sofa, panting slightly from exertion. Sweat glistened on her skin, gleaming golden in the late afternoon light. With a flick of her wrist, she tossed aside her sneakers, and they landed with a thud, missing the small inhabitant by inches. The little one watched in terror as the enormous sneakers came crashing down, the air rushing past him like a hurricane. He was frozen in place, his heart pounding in time with Penelope's music, a powerful tribal rhythm that seemed to match his own heartbeat. From his makeshift shelter, he could only see fragments of the scene: the giant sneaker on the carpet, the colossal shadow moving, the slight creaking of the sofa giving way under Penelope's immense weight. Despite the risk of living there, this was the only place he could call home. And Penelope, unaware of his presence, had become both his protector and his greatest threat.
Slowly, Penelope opened her eyes, a sense of awareness dawning upon her. Her gaze swept across the room, lingering on the piece of furniture that housed the tiny creature. The little one held his breath, praying she wouldn't notice him. Penelope's eyes narrowed, an instinctual shift in the air. She felt something... a presence. The tension in the room heightened, the little one gripping the floorboards beneath him with bated breath. Was she coming for him? Would she crush him underfoot, or would she simply continue on her way, oblivious to his existence?
