"But you owe me some serious coffee after that comment." He stood up, towering over Emily by at least a foot. Even though they were just friends, there was always an undercurrent of sexual tension between them - a fact that they both enjoyed teasing each other about.

As they made their way to the kitchen table, Emily couldn't help but admire how handsome Jack looked in his worn-out boxers. He had always been her rock, the one person who understood her better than anyone else. Breaking the silence, Jack took a sip of his coffee and let out a contented sigh. "So," he said, leaning back in his chair, "what do we have planned for today?" Jack nodded in response, already finishing off his cup of coffee. "Sounds like a typical Saturday," he said with a grin, reaching over to steal another sip from Emily's mug. "I'm just glad we don't have any plans that involve height differences," he joked, trying to get a rise out of her again. Emily rolled her eyes but couldn't help but smile at his teasing. "Very funny," she said, slapping his arm playfully. "Now let's go get ready for our day." Their lives may not be extravagant or filled with excitement, but they were content in each other's company – and that was all that mattered.
