The city lights stretched out below me like a tiny map, each building no taller than my ankle. I stood there, gazing down at the world that had once seemed so vast and intimidating. Now, it was mine to command.

She appeared from behind the horizon, her silhouette blocking out the stars. Her footsteps shook the ground, sending tremors through the earth. I watched in awe as she approached, her eyes locking onto mine.

«Hello, little one,» she murmured, her voice rumbling like thunder. «You’ve been waiting for me?»

I nodded, unable to speak. Being in her presence was both terrifying and exhilarating. She crouched down, her massive hand reaching out to gently lift me from the ground. I felt so small in her palm, like a doll she could play with.

I could only nod again, my heart pounding in my chest. She smiled, a predatory glint in her eyes, and brought me closer to her face. I could see every detail of her features, from the tiny freckles on her nose to the faint lines around her lips.
