Finally, she stopped before him, her towering presence blocking out the stars above. She reached down with one massive hand and scooped up Kiko in his small frame, lifting him effortlessly. Her breath was hot on his neck as she carried him deeper into the forest. Kiko could feel the beat of her enormous heart as she continued her journey, taking him further into the wilderness where only the beasts and the giants roam.
