As Jane sat at her desk, head in her hands, she didn't notice the strange draft that suddenly filled the room. Or the faint rustling of papers as they were lifted off of the desks. She was too engrossed in her thoughts, trying to figure out how to explain herself to her parents when she got home.
But then, without warning, the door to the detention hall burst open. There, framed in the doorway, stood Anna. She towered over everything in the room, casting long shadows across the wall. Jane's heart leapt into her throat as she rose up to meet the giantess' gaze.
"Miss Jane," Anna said, her voice booming through the room. "I need your help."
Jane couldn't believe what she was hearing. The giantess? Wanting her help? But before she could even form a response, Anna reached out and gently lifted her off the ground. Jane squeaked in surprise as she dangled in the air, looking up at Anna with wide eyes.
"I think you might have an idea of what's happening to me," Anna said, her face a mask of confusion and fear. "I... I don't understand it. But I need to know more. Can you help me?"
Jane hesitated for a moment before nodding hesitantly. She had always been curious about the strange occurrences in her town, and this was the biggest one yet. Plus, she couldn't deny the thrill that ran through her veins at the thought of being so close to such a massive figure.
"Yes," she said quietly. "I'll help you."
