"Don't be afraid," she said, her voice booming like thunder. "I mean you no harm."

Vanessa swallowed hard, trying to find her voice. "Who... who are you?" she managed to stammer out.

The giant woman smiled, revealing a mouth full of perfect, white teeth. "My name is Anthea," she replied, her laughter rolling across the landscape like waves. "I am called a 'Goddess'. And I have come to grant you a wish, little one."

Vanessa's eyes went wide with shock. "What kind of wish?" she asked warily.

"Any wish, my dear," Anthea replied with a smile that seemed to stretch from one end of the plain to the other. "Just close your eyes, concentrate, and wish upon a star."

And with that, Vanessa did as she was told. She closed her eyes tight, wishing with all her heart for something... anything. But as she did, she couldn't help but wonder what would happen next. Would her wish come true? Or would she be swallowed whole by the giantess standing before her?
