Tifa's Tyranny

Chapter 3.3

Tifa's Tyranny

ThuwaGTS Studio

As the sun began to set, casting long shadows across the sleepy town of Edge, Tifa stood atop a building, her gaze fixed on the horizon. She was clad in her signature black and silver outfit, her imposing figure towering over the surrounding buildings. A gentle breeze ruffled her hair as she exhaled softly, her right hand gripping the edge of the rooftop tightly.

Her thoughts drifted back to the events of the day, a mixture of triumph and anxiety coursing through her veins. Earlier, she had defeated the monstrous Leviathan, a feat that had solidified her place in the hearts of her people. Yet, it also brought with it a new challenge - ruling over them.

Tifa's heart ached at the thought of trying to fill her father's shoes. King Regis, her father, had been a fair and just ruler, respected by all who knew him. She could still remember his words of wisdom, his gentle guidance, and his unwavering love. Tifa knew that she would never be able to measure up to his standards, but she was determined to try.

A soft rustling sound broke her from her reverie, and she turned to see a figure approaching her. It was her loyal bodyguard, Cloud, his broad shoulders moving with an easy grace despite the weight of his armor. His sword was sheathed at his side, and his blue eyes were fixed on her.

"Everything alright, Tifa?" he asked, his voice soft but commanding.

Tifa smiled weakly, feeling a surge of comfort at the sight of her old friend. "I was just thinking about everything that's happened," she replied, her voice catching slightly. "It's...it's a lot to take in."

Cloud nodded, his expression serious. "I know," he said, his hand finding hers where she gripped the edge of the roof. "But you've got this, Tifa. You'll make a great queen."

She let out a shaky breath, leaning into him slightly. "I hope so, Cloud," she murmured. "Because if I don't, who will?"

Cloud squeezed her hand reassuringly. "You have me, and the rest of the people in Edge," he said, his voice firm. "We'll be here to support you every step of the way."

Tifa smiled, feeling a spark of hope ignite within her. "Thank you, Cloud," she said, her eyes shining with gratitude. "That means more to me than you'll ever know."

As they stood there, basking in each other's company, the sounds of the town below drifted up to them. The rhythmic thud of horses' hooves, the laughter of children playing, and the distant chatter of adults mingling. Tifa closed her eyes, taking a deep breath of the warm evening air.

She knew that her journey as queen had only just begun, and that there would be challenges ahead. But with the support of her people and her dearest friend by her side, she felt ready to face them. After all, she had always been strong - even when she didn't believe it herself.

And so, with a newfound sense of determination, Tifa turned to Cloud and smiled. "Let's go back to the castle," she said, her voice ringing with resolve. "We've got a kingdom to run."
